Florene Dolore Meyer, known affectionately as "Dolore" passed to be with God and her husband Ed on January 8, 2019.  Dolore was born on January 4th to Frank and Milderd Burke Stouffer in rural Fairfax, Missouri.  She pursued a teaching degree from Northwest Missouri Teachers College (now known as Northwest Missouri State University) in Maryville, Mo.  She met Ed and on August 25th, 1956 they were married.  After two kids, Karl and LeAnne, she and Ed settled in Miami, Okla.  She made the conscious decision to forgo her teaching career to raise her kids.  Dolore was very active in PTA, Booster club, any and all of Karl and LeAnne's sports activities, all while volunteering at the United Methodist Church. She was also active in various bridge clubs. In 1980, she decided to go back to teaching and taught in Commerce until 1999, earning Teacher of the year in 1993.  Upon retirement, they focused on community service, all while attending the grandkids various sports activities and keeping a packed social schedule. The continuing foundation for support and joy was the "Lotsa Family" to whom she and Ed were proud members. Her wicked sense of humor and humanity will surely be missed by all. She is survived by her two children Karl and Amy Meyer, Tulsa and Jess and LeAnne Dickerson, Garden City, Mo. and four grandchildren, Andrew and Karleigh Meyer and Montana and Boston Dickerson along with many family and friends.  There will be a celebration of life Saturday January 26th at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Miami, with lunch provided after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to Miami Senior Center, United Methodist Church, Miami or Good Shepherd Hospice, Grove.
