Jerry Fields Manning, an 84 year old resident of Miami, Okla., went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday January 9, 2019.

Jerry was born May 12, 1934 in Southwest City, Mo. to George and Marjorie (Fields) Manning. He was an army veteran and he worked at Goodrich in Miami for twenty-two years. He farmed his entire life, and so enjoyed it. He was a member and a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Miami, Okla. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years Joanne (Thompson) Manning. Other survivors include his children Julie Harmon and husband Marvin, Janet Manning, Kathy Manning, and Jerry Brente Manning and wife Shelly. Two siblings - brother Jack Manning and wife Sharon and sister Coetta Scoggins. Nine grandchildren - Jerrod Tynon and wife Dalaynee, Jake Tynon and wife Amy. Trey Harmon, Chance Harmon, Hayden Harmon, Jade Robertson and husband Micah, Jill Manning, Jordynn Smith, and Jacie Smith. Five great grandchildren - Deegan Jones, Avinee Jones, Jackson Tynon, Cort Harmon, and Journey Robertson.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.

Funeral services will be under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home. The service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Miami, OK on 10 a.m. on Saturday the 12th of January. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Miami’s 2020 Vision Renovation.
