MIAMI – It's the most wonderful time of the year, and there's a festive event sure to light up the spirit of the season during the Miami Kiwanis Club second annual Holiday Home Tour.

The 2018 Holiday Home Tour is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for Sunday, Dec. 2, and is hosted by the Miami Kiwanis Club.

Several local civic organizations hosted the event in years past and last year the Kiwanis revived the much anticipated holiday event.

If driving around during the holidays and enjoying all the beautifully lit and decorated homes gives you the desire to get a tour of what's on the inside, now's the chance.

It's an opportunity to see spectacularly decorated homes and gather ideas from talented local florists for decorating for the season.

There are six Miami homes and locations featured on the tour including the Dobson Home, hosted by Jordan Boyd at 106 A Street SW, the home of David and Sandra Windle at 10 F Street SW, the home of Dana and Kathy Crow at 227 D Street NW, the Miami Regional Chamber Office hosted by Brandy Smith located at 11 South Main Street, the home of Vicki Lewis at 800 Garfield, and the home of Leon and Trinda Crow at 63960 East 140 Road.

The homes and offices featured on the tour will be splendidly decorated for the holidays by Miami florists Ann's Flowers and Gifts, Sunkissed Floral, and B Oliver's Floral, and Wyandotte florist Dusty Rose Floral & More.

Tickets for the 2018 Holiday Home Tour are free to children 12 and under and $10 a person for 13 and up.

The Kiwanis Club will have a booth set up at the Miami Business Expo/Rotary Pancake Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Miami Civic Center selling tickets or to answer questions about the home tour.

Tickets may be purchased at these locations: Dobson Museum, 110 A St SW, Miami, the Miami Regional Chamber Office at 11 S. Main St., Ann's Flower's and Gifts, 101 N. Main St., Sunkissed Floral, 1800 A St NW, B. Oliver's Floral, 33 N. Main St. Suite #8, Dusty Rose Floral & More, 4 N. Broadway in Wyandotte or at any of the six homes and the chamber office the day of the tour.

A tea room will be at the Dobson Home at 106 A St SW with Tammy Willcox and Brenda Bowen Cox playing their harps on the afternoon of the tour.

All proceeds of the home tour go to the Jerry Goforth Kiwanis Scholarship.
