Frances Marea (Pollard) Sommerfeld, 72-year-old Fairland, Okla. resident passed away on Friday, November 22, 2018.
Frances was born on September 12, 1946, in Peggs, Okla., to Carl and Barbara Pollard. She was a teacher for Miami Public Schools and at Northeast Technology Centers. She taught math and computer science. Frances was married to Billy Paul Sommerfeld in June. Frances was a graduate of Miami High School, Northeastern State University and Pittsburg State University.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Barbara Pollard; maternal and paternal grandparents; two nieces Rebecca Nicole Green and Brooklyn Marea Warford; two maternal aunts; one maternal uncle and two paternal uncles.
Frances is survived by her husband, Billy Paul Sommerfeld of the home; three sisters, Barbara Green and husband Jack of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Margie Gleaton and husband John of Comanche, Texas, and Millie Cook and husband Joe of Ft Gibson, Okla.; Joyce Sommerfeld, Hamilton, Texas and one brother James Sommerfeld and wife Sheryl of Hamilton, Texas; five nieces, Chelle McCorkell and husband Tim of Wagoner, Oklahoma, Tawanda Warford and husband Clif of Barnsdall, Okla., and Tamra McGaughy and Kory of Whitesboro, Texas; three nephews, Kevin Cude and wife Wendy of Hamilton, Texas, Brett Green and wife Carrie of Wagoner, Okla. and Gregg Sommerfeld and wife Natalie of Granbury, Texas; great nieces, Carlye McCorkell of Okay, Okla., Tymami McCorkell of Wagoner, Okla., Skye McCorkell of Wagoner, Okla., Stephanie, Layne and husband Justin, Madi Edwards and husband Evan of Durham, North Carolina, Chloe Cude of Hamiliton, Texas, and Ashtyn Warford of Barnsdall, Okla.; great nephews, Elliot Cude and wife Rebecca, of Austin Texas, Mitchell Cude and wife Ellie of Dallas, Texas, Christian Warford of Barnsdall, Okla., Cole McCorkell of Wagoner, Okla., and Austin Sommerfeld and Anna Sommerfeld, of Granbury, Texas; great great niece Kaysen McCorkell of Okay, Okla.; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland, Okla. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. the day of the service. Interment to follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens. 
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frances’ name to Amaranth Diabetes Foundation or the Friends of the Coleman Theatre.
