Judy May Sellers (née Judy Lee Gunning) was born in Enid, Okla., June 3, 1943, to Alfred E. Gunning and Hazel L. Cowsar. She went from this life to her new life on October 10, 2018, at the young age of 75, after bravely enduring 100 days in St. Luke's Hospital in Houston.
At Miami (Oklahoma) High School she was FFA queen and an honor student. One of her first jobs after high school was manager of the cosmetics counter at Froug's Department Store in Tulsa. Later, she worked for a succession of oil companies in Dallas and Tulsa. For 25 years prior to her retirement in 2004, she was a proud employee of Kaiser Francis Oil Company, as Manager of Special Projects. She was one of the earliest women members of Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen. Judy was devoted to her church family at Red Fork Church of God, where she was deeply loved for her compassion, generosity, and group leadership. Judy loved and was loved by her family, including her husband, Keith Sellers; her sons, Mark and Greg May, and her daughter, Pamela Fell, and their spouses; her sisters and brother; her grandchildren; her greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and step-children and grandchildren. Our only consolation is that our great loss is Heaven's gain.
A celebration of Judy's life for the past 75 years and infinitely beyond will be held at 11 a.m. Monday October 22 at Red Fork Church of God, 3319 W 41st St, Tulsa, OK 74107. Her many friends are encouraged to join with the family in this time of bereavement and celebration. Interment will occur at a later date.
Judy loves flowers, but she also loves the missionaries who devote their lives to sharing the Gospel and helping those in need. Those wishing to express their condolences with donations in lieu of flowers may direct their contributions to Red Fork Church of God Missions Fund at the address above.
