Miami High School has kicked off a week of themed fun for homecoming week ending with the annual parade, Rotary Bowl, and coronation of the homecoming court Friday, Sept. 21.
MIAMI — There are a week full of activities planned for homecoming at Miami High School.
The theme is “Cruisin’ on Route 66.”
Monday, students were to dress in appropriate beachwear or like their favorite superstar or movie star.
Tuesday is America Day, Wednesday Cowboy Day and Thursday Class Colors Day (seniors, white; juniors, red; teachers, yellow, and freshmen, green).
There are three homecoming week assemblies planned: Mr. Miami competition Tuesday, a game-day assembly on Thursday and the introduction of the homecoming court at 2:45 p.m. Friday.
There will be homecoming parade Friday at 4:30 p.m. going from Tint-n-More to the intersection of Central and Main Street.
There will be a tailgate party at Red Robertson Field from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m.
Coronation of the homecoming king and queen will be at 6 p.m.
The Wardogs (2-1) host Grove Friday, Sept. 21 in the Rotary Bowl at Red Robertson Field.
Rotary clubs from Miami and Grove are sponsors of the event.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
