Joy Glendelle Ammerman passed from this world on July 31, 2018. Joy lived a life of adventure, sharing the world’s wonders with her beloved husband Eugene Radford and children, Pamela and Valerie. Upon retirement, Eugene and Joy returned to their family in Quapaw, Okla. After Eugene’s passing, Joy married her second wonderful husband, Ray Ammerman, and they spent their days loving life, traveling and enjoying children and grandchildren.
Joy leaves daughters Pam Melton and Valerie Radford Cox, Valerie’s husband William Cox, grandchildren Nigel Cook and wife Elsa Anders Cook, Avery Cook, Allegra Cox, William Melton and great grand daughter Isabella Joan Cook.
She also leaves her much loved step daughters Cheryn Ammerman Lee and her husband Jimmy Lee and Vickie Ammerman Campbell and husband Dr. Richard Campbell, step-grandchildren Chris Campbell, Dr. Spencer Campbell and wife Calley, Kelsey Williams and husband Pryce, Blake and Katy Williams, Carly and husband Chris Hall, Sarah Lee, Andrew Lee, Mary McNeill, and husband Todd, John Lee, great step-children Campbell, Wesley, Brittany, Jax, Elizabeth, Talan, Tripp, Gus, Micah, and Finn.
Joy’s warm smile, generous heart and vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Celebration of Life Services will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Okla. Rev. Elsa Cook will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the Paul Thomas Family Center. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, Okla.
