Grady Werner Cason of Miami, Okla. passed from this life Friday, June 1, 2018 at his home. He was 66.

Grady was born August 2, 1952 in Munich, Germany to Grady and Franziska (Frank) Cason. He had lived in Miami for 44 years having spent previous years in Texas and California. He founded his own carpet laying business called Miami Floors, did some professional painting and was a substitute teacher at Miami High School in his later spent previous.

He was preceded in death by his parents GradyCason, his mother Franziska Johnson and his father Jess Dennis Johnson.

Grady was married to Carol Cason for 23 years and she survives of the home. Additional survivors include son, Grady Cason and wife Angie of Kansas City, Mo., his daughter Sara Parcell and husband Grant of Oklahoma City, Okla., stepson Jeremy Stanley and wife Kayja of Joplin, Mo., stepdaughter Jennifer Welch and husband Paul of Skiatook, Okla., two brothers Jason Johnson of Fayetteville and Troy Johnson of Little Rock, half-sister Jill Elmore of Andalusia, Al and nine grandchildren.   

Grady bravely faced the effects of multiple sclerosis with a smile and eternal grit. Grady loved his Oklahoma Sooners, Philadelphia Eagles, soulful music, reading and was a top shelf backgammon, jeopardy and trivial pursuit player.

A Celebration of Life visitation and reception will be Friday, June 8, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Family Center in Miami, Okla. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Miami, Okla. Online condolences may be made at
