1. Bike to the Fairland Farmers Market this Saturday, May 19, and receive a free 8 oz. smoothie and a message! The market is open from 8 to 11 a.m. and is located between Family Dollar and Mr. D's, ~50 N. Pine Street in Fairland. 2. The USSSA Miami’s Double Points Classic Showdown Baseball Tournament will be held Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20 in the Little League Baseball Complex located by Riverview Park and at Joe Pollock Field. Pool play games will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. On Sunday, bracket play will begin at 9 a.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children (ages 7-15). Children ages 6 and under and military personnel with ID are free.

3. Photographer-filmmaker and Pittsburg State University alumni Lindsey Walls, of Walls Productions, announced the theatrical showing of her recently completed full-length documentary 'The Cowgirl Culture Documentary.' The Oklahoma premiere and first release of the full-length documentary on the big screen will be shown at the historic Coleman Theatre in Miami Saturday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. Ten percent of ticket sales will be donated back to the Coleman Theatre.

4. Riverview Park will be the spot for a unique benefit competition aiding local animal welfare and adoption. Squat Your Dog, hosted by Miami grooming salon Pawsitively Divine, will take place Saturday, May 19 from 12 to 3 p.m. First place prizes for each weight class, and an overall prize for the pair with the most squats. $5 entry fee per dog. Dont have a dog? That's alright you can borrow one of our adoptable dogs that will be on site ready to go!

5. In theaters this weekend is “Deadpool 2” rated R, a superhero dark comedy in which the foul-mouthed mutant mercenary (Ryan Reynolds) brings together a team of fellow mutant rogues to protect a young boy of supernatural abilities from the brutal, time-traveling mutant, Cable (Josh Brolin).
