The son of Donald Lee Durborow and Elizabeth Louise (Benjamin) Durborow was born November 8, 1956, in Miami, Okla. David was the youngest of three older brothers, Mike, Tim and Terry, and under David was a set of triplets, two sisters and one brother, Donna, Dana, and Donnie. David graduated from Miami High School with the class of 1975. He continued his education at Northeastern A&M College and completed his Associates Degree in Computer Science. While at college he met the love of his life, Sherry R. Bean. They were married on August 20, 1977, in Sand Springs. David and Sherry built their home on Lake Keystone and raised two children together, Kelly and Brad. David's father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Beverly Bean, offered David a job at Bean Plumbing and Electric, Heating and Air Conditioning to learn the trades and be able to make a good living and be able to support his family. In 1996, David and Sherry purchased the business from her parents and continue to run it. They have kept the family business going for 61 plus years. Also, David and Sherry decided to venture in to the carwash business. They built the Dazzle N' Shine Carwash in 2001 and added an automatic in 2007. There was something so special about David. There was nothing that he couldn't fix and get working again. He passed many of these traits on to his kids and grandkids.
David was passionate about his career in making a living for his family, his strong Catholic faith, and always did his best to help those in need. David and Sherry are longtime Parrish members of St. Patrick Catholic Church where David served on many committees and helped with Sunday School. He was awarded the Stewardship Award in 2015 where his name will forever be engraved on a plaque.
In his younger years, David loved running around the small town of Miami with his brothers and sisters hunting, shooting guns, swimming and countless other ornery activities. David also enjoyed the outdoors later in life, fishing with Kelly, hunting with Brad, shooting guns, and taking Sherry for a cruise in the 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass that he built. He absolutely loved spending quality time with his family, especially fun stuff with the grandkids.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Elizabeth Durborow; mother-in-law, Beverly Bean; and younger sister, Donna Durborow.
