Thelma Mae (Beason) Fouts went to her heavenly home January 16, 2018 at the home of her nephew and niece, Lester and Mary Ann Beason after a short illness. She was born September 6, 1927, the sixth child of William Silvester Beason and Laura Ethel (White) Beason in Miami, Okla.

She attended Hudson Creek School and graduated 8th grade. She was a member of Eastgate Baptist Church.

On September 14, 1946 she married Frank (Noah) Lee Fouts in Columbus, Kan. They lived many places. Last was in California where he passed away on August 16, 1960. Thelma then moved back to Peoria, Okla. with her six children to live near her parents and family. Thelma worked different jobs to provide for her family, moving to Wyandotte and then Commerce to make her home. She worked Eagle Picher many years before retiring and then was asked to come back to work. Retiring for good in March, 1994, to stay home and take care of her grandsons, Josh and Jared.

She sewed blankets and crocheted many different articles for family and friends. She lived with her son David and they attended many soccer games and worked together taking care of Mom’s many roses and multiple flower gardens. Her kids and grandkids loved to come home to eat Mom and Draba’s home cooking.

She is survived by daughter Janie Dolton of Enterprise, Kan., sons Darrell (beloved daughter-in-law, Louise) Fouts of Commerce, Okla., Cliff (Paula) Fouts of Fairland, Okla., David Fouts of Commerce, Okla., Tim Fouts of Miami, Okla., sister Lavona Sadd of Grove, Okla., caregivers Lester and Mary Ann Beason, nephew and niece of Fairland, Okla., niece Sue Smith of Bixby, Okla., grandchildren Daren Dolton of Salina, Kan., Jeremy (Melanie) Dolton of Alexandria, Tenn., Stacey (Mike) Lehman of Abilene, Kan., Jeff (Christian) Myers, Josh Fouts, Jared Fouts and Sylvia Suter, all of Commerce, Okla.  Greatgrandchildren, Blaise, Brock, Brogan and Bentley Lehman of Abilene, Kan. Tyler, Austin, Dayton, Tittel and Jourdyn Dolton of Alexandria, Tenn., Kimmie Collins, Melanie Collins, Ashley Myers, Tyler Simpson, Xander Burris and Gaige Johnson, all of Commerce, Okla. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thelma was proceeded in death by husband Frank (Noah) Fouts, parents Sylvester and Ethel Beason, son Billy Fouts, son-in-law Ron Dolton, sisters, Juanita Byrd, Mary Gordon and Leonea Blizzard, brothers Denzil Beason, L.C. Beason, Don Beason and Kenneth Runyan.

Graveside services will be Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. at 10 a.m. Online condolences may be made at
