MIAMI – A string of events ended with the apprehension of Brian Joseph Becker, 35, of Miami, and his arrest for indecent exposure in Miami in a retail store parking lot.

According to the Miami Police Department's incident report, at 8:48 p.m. on Oct. 18 police were dispatched to the Miami Wal-Mart Supercenter at 2415 North Main on a complaint from Jack Rhinehart that a man had been following three young women inside the store taking pictures.

One of the women photographed by the man was Rhinehart's daughter. Rhinehart's daughter had called to tell her father about the incident and police located the suspect, Becker, and Rhinehart in a parking lot south of Wal-Mart at 1912 North Main.

Police Officer Ronnie Cravens made contact with Becker who was sitting on the driver side of his vehicle and Becker told the officer he had “f****d up” and said he took pictures of three females inside the Wal-Mart store.

Becker told police he then went outside to his vehicle in the parking lot and pulled down his pants and was thinking of masturbating inside his vehicle.

Miami Police Detective Aaron Crockett arrived on scene and read Becker his Miranda Rights and Waiver of Rights Form which Becker signed, according to the report.

Becker then told Crockett he had pulled down his pants exposing himself and attempted to masturbate while looking at photos on his cell phone.

Rhinehart told Detective Crockett he had opened Becker's car door and saw his pants and underwear were down to his knees and Becker was exposed. Rhinehart told police he also saw there was pornographic material in the passenger seat next to Becker.

Becker was placed under arrest for indecent exposure and transported to the Ottawa County Jail.

Becker's car was photographed and his phone seized for evidence.

Becker appeared in Ottawa County District Court on Oct. 19 for the indecent exposure charge and bond was set at $10,000.
