MIAMI – Catoosa, ranked sixth in the Class 4A team rankings, rolled to a 61-6 victory over Miami Thursday night in the old gym.

 

Kobe Scott had the Wardogs' only points of the dual, winning by fall over Abel Perez at 1:12.

 

The tightest match of the night was at 195, where Marcel Buckner squeezed out a 6-5 decision over Caiden Gower. Gower got an escape in the third period, but Buckner managed to hold on.

 

The Indians got four pins, two major decisions and two decisions in the dual. They also picked up two forfeits.

 

Jordan Fowler pinned Devon York at 1:51, Goland Garcio pinned Mike Horn at 4:30, Breyden Ferguson pinned Callan Cox at 5:35 and Sam Sinor pinned Brycen Thorp at 2:59.

 

Andrew Dearmond rolled to a 17-1 major decision over Ian Stone and Tanner Payton suffered a 13-2 loss to Robbie Utero.

 

Cooper Stone, Jordan Freeman, T.J. Griffith and Caden Collins lost decisions.

 

Catoosa picked up forfeit wins from Cameron Chilcost and Quinden Eremita.
