Early voting for the Nov. 4 general election will open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Monday in the lobby of the old Ottawa County Courthouse.

Early votes can also be cast between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at the same location.

Any registered voter may cast a ballot early.

Election day voting

On Nov. 4, all area polling places will open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters nationwide will go to the polls to decide who will serve as president. They will also seat U.S. congressional

In Oklahoma, ballots will be cast to retain, or not to retain, state supreme court justices as well as judges on the courts of criminal and civil appeals.

Voters will also decide who will serve in the long and short term as corporation commissioner.

Four state questions appear on the state ballot as well.

Locally, voters will choose an Ottawa County sheriff.

Special Picher election

Picher residents will be presented with two ballots on Nov. 4.

In addition to the general election ballot, a special election ballot will ask Picher voters to consider a change of government.
