Four different players scored goals as Northeastern A&M rolled to a 4-0 victory over Hesston College here Monday afternoon.
The win was the fourth in the past six games for the Golden Norse, who are 4-1-1 during that span.
Northeastern A&M (6-8-2) concludes its first season today with an 11 a.m. match against Bacone College in Muskogee.
“We started really slow,” NEO men's coach John Parrigon said. “We didn't play very well the first 15 to 20 (minutes). We just seemed to gain momentum as the game went on. You would prefer to play a full 90 minutes, but if you have to pick it up as it goes, I would rather do that than get flat at the end.”
Colton Sexton scored NEO's first goal at 17:39, then Daniel Briones made it 2-0 with a shot at 9:37.
The Norse had a marker by Josh Maloney 22 minutes into the match nullified because of an offsides call.
Christian Hernandez scored in the second 45 minutes of play.
