VINITA - Four runs in the top of the seventh inning helped Miami Post 147 seal a 5-1 victory over Vinita here Monday night in an American Legion baseball game.

The Spoonbills had led only 1-0 through the first six innings, breaking a scoreless draw with a run in the fourth.

Then in the seventh, Josh White led off the inning with a walk. Andrew Allen reached on a walk. The next two batters struck out, then Keaton Blevins singled. James Pickens drove in two runs with a double.

Brett Abell walked then Nick Henson delivered a RBI single.

Vinita got its only run in the bottom of the seventh and had the tying run at the plate with two out, but the game ended with a strikeout.

Post 147's first run came when Pickens reached on an error, Abell walked and Henson drilled a RBI single.

Henson had a double and single for the Spoonies, who also got doubles from Pickens and White and a single from Blevins.

Abell went hitless but was walked four straight times.
