QUAPAW — After building a 34-9 lead at halftime, the Quapaw Wildcats cruised to a 57-26 Lucky 7 Conference victory Friday night over the Fairland Owls.

Junior guard Paige Radford scored 13 points to lead the Lady Wildcats to a 35-27 victory in the girls game.

Paced by five points Chris Miller and four points each by Brandon Rollet and Clay Greninger, the Wildcats built a 13-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Two 3-point field goals by Curtis Bacon along with five points by Rollet along with four each from Drew Frisbie and Miller and a layup by Greninger propelled the Wildcats to a 25-point halftime cushion.

Fairland responded with 3-point field goals by Jordan Alexander and Kolton Selsor along with field goals by Gunner Anderson and Caden Coger and a free throw by Alexander to trail 42-20 heading into the fourth quarter.

Alexander led the Owls with 13 points while Coger scored 7, Anderson 3 and Selsor 3.

Rollet tallied 14 points to lead the Wildcats, along with Bacon 11, Greninger 8, Miller 8, Frisbie 4, Connell Cawyer 4, Dusty Redden 3, Colton Sappington 3 and Arin Way 2.

A 3-point goal by Suzanne Pascoe and baskets by Ashley Davis and Courtney Summers allowed Fairland to grab a 7-5 lead at the end of the first quarter of the girls game.

Field goals by Radford, Kallie Brumback and Caitlin Miller enabled Quapaw to carry an 11-8 lead to the locker room at halftime.

Quapaw constructed a 21—15 lead at the end of the third quarter on four points by Radford and field goals by Brumback, Miller and Kaitlyn Brumley.

During the fourth quarter the two teams traded field goals as the Lady Wildcats outscored the Lady Owls by a 14-12 margin.

Along with Pascoe’s 10 points, the Lady Owls received 7 points from Davis, Jessica Blalock 4, Summers 4 and Paige Mowery 2.

Along with Radford’s 13 points, Brumback scored 7 along with Miller 4, Brumley 4, Halie Judd 3, Kayla Chapa 2 and Katie King 2.
