Mandy Watson has been named the most valuable player in the Lucky 7 Conference.

Watson drove in the tying and winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Lady Tigers in their 5-4 victory against Wyandotte in the regional final.

Joining Watson on the all-conference team from CHS were third baseman Courtney Watson, second baseman Kourtney Reading and outfielder Jacey Knight.

The Lady Tigers qualified for the state tournament for the first time since 2002, losing to eventual state champ Ringling 3-2 in the first round.

Watson hit .342, getting 28 hits in 82 at-bats. She had eight doubles and six home runs. She stole nine bases.

Watson scored 27 runs and drove in 34.

Fairland's Kortney Kowal and Jakey Dobbs of Afton were named as all-conference pitchers while Jordan Amos of Welch and Kayla Oleman of Wyandotte were picked as the catchers.

Joining Courtney Watson as corner infielders are Bekky Gebhart of Fairland, Jesse Stone of Wyandotte and Shelby VanPielt of Afton.

The middle infielders are Reading, Ashlee Davis of Fairland, Cheyanne Bass of Quapaw and Kristen Leppla of Wyandotte.

The all-conference outfield includes Knight, Kayla Kowal and Katie Hutchinson of Fairland, Cassie Welch of Welch, Ashley Carroll of Afton and Wyandotte's Jennifer McCloud.

Players named as utility players were Kourtney Leppla and Felicia Stone of Wyandotte, Jessica Blalock of Fairland and Demi Cavazos of Welch.

Receiving honorable mention recognition were Jacy Grimes of Afton, Johna Sharp of Commerce, Katie Schubert of Fairland, Samantha Jiminez of Quapaw, Lexie Mercer and Allison Chenoweth of Welch, and Dez Edmund of Wyandotte.
