Tulsa CB Davis gets 5th season
TULSA (AP) — Starting cornerback Charles Davis has been granted a waiver that will allow him to return for an additional season at Tulsa.
Davis tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the Golden Hurricane's third game last season at Oklahoma and missed the rest of the season.
The team found out Tuesday that Davis has been granted a medical hardship waiver and will be allowed to play again in 2010.
Davis started 13 games in both the 2007 and 2008 seasons, when Tulsa played in back-to-back GMAC Bowls. Davis was the team's third-leading tackler two seasons ago with 78 stops.
