BOONVILLE, Ind. — Four golfers grabbed a share of the first round lead by way of opening round 7-under par 64s at The NGA Hooters Classic at Quail Crossing here Wednesday.

The foursome of co-leaders includes Charlie Waddell of Orlando, Fla., Scott Stallings of Knoxville, Tenn., John Ellis of San Jose, Calif., and Chris Devlin of Birmingham, Ala.

Eight players will start the second round one stroke back of the group after opening round 6-under par rounds of 65. This group includes Jeff Corr, the defending champ at the Buffalo Run Casino Classic.

Others who are a stroke back are Garrett Jones, Mark Harrell, Jesse Hutchins, Emmett Turner, Blake Sattler, Aaron Harrell and Ireland’s Niall Turner.

A group of 13 players — including current NGA Hooters Tour money leader Ted Potter — will start the second round two strokes off the pace after carding 5-under par rounds of 66.

Round Two was played today. The cut will be made at the conclusion of round two with the low 60 professionals and ties making the cut.

The total purse for The NGA Hooters Classic at Quail Crossing presented by Comfort Inn East is $200,000,  with $33,566 going to the winner.

The Buffalo Run Casino Classic will be June 18-21 at the Peoria Ridge Golf Course.
