COMMERCE — Four players scored in double figures as the Commerce boys rolled to an 87-33 victory over White Oak here Saturday night.

“We shot the ball well,” said Commerce coach Tom Fenderson.

The Tigers, who led 22-6 in the first quarter, came back with 25 points in the second period to open up a 47-11 advantage.

Commerce continued to pull away in the second half thanks to 21-7 and 19-15 margins.

Zach Barnes topped the CHS scoring with 17 points. Luke Manning, Sean Richard and T.J. Arnold each had 12 points for the Tigers (9-6).

Arnold had three of the Tigers’ eight 3-point goals in the game.

Brandon Pinkston and Dustin Sherman had nine and eight points, respectively, for the Ranchers (1-10).

The Commerce girls (12-3) used a 33-16 advantage in the middle two quarters to take charge of their game.

Each team had seven points in the opening frame, but the Lady Tigers held a 14-4 edge in the second quarter, then outscored White Oak 19-12 in the third.

Mandy Watson headed up a balanced Commerce scoring attack with 10 points. Johna Sharp and Courtney Watson had nine each.

Cookie LeFlore had 16 points and Chelsey Brown added 10 for the White Oak girls.

Commerce is at Joplin College Heights Christian tonight. The games will be played at Ozark Christian College.
