Registration for two summer basketball clinics hosted by the Region II Champion Northeastern A&M Lady Norse has begun, according to head coach Jim Rowland.

The Lady Norse “Camp of Champions” starts June 11 and continues through June 14 in the NEO Fieldhouse. Girls in grades second through the eighth are eligible to attend the clinic that tips off at 9 a.m. and concludes at noon. Cost is $60 per player and includes a tee shirt and a camp basketball.

“Our champions camp will focus on the basic fundamentals of basketball,” Rowland said. “We'll provide instruction on proper dribbling, passing and shooting techniques.”

Girls in grades seventh through the 12th are invited to participate in an elite clinic scheduled for June 11-14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the NEO Fieldhouse. Cost is $50 per player and includes a tee shirt and basketball.

“Working with the older girls, we'll be able to stress some of the more complicated facets of basketball,” Rowland said. “We will offer instruction on such things as team play, various offensive and defensive schemes and working on strengthening basketball skills.”
