QUAPAW - Outscoring the Riverton Lady Rams 34-7 in the first two quarters, the Quapaw Lady Wildcats cruised to a 53-28 victory in a non-conference game Friday night in the Wildcat gymnasium.

The Riverton Rams received 19 points from Wes Hefley en route to a 64-38 victory over the Wildcats in the boy's game.

Following the Christmas holidays, Quapaw returns to the hardwoods on Jan. 4 by hosting Commerce in Lucky 7 Conference games.

Using a staunch defensive effort, coach Rod Graves' Lady Wildcats stand 6-2 on the season.

The Lady Wildcats built a 17-3 lead in the first quarter before carrying a 34-7 cushion to the locker room at halftime.

Limiting the Lady Rams to only eight point during the third quarter, the Lady Wildcats constructed a 47-15 advantage heading into the final eight minutes.

Amber Burkybile lead all scorers with 16 points while Kallie Brumback contributed 10 for the Lady Wildcats.

Megan Wells and Rachel Welch tallied six points each to lead the Lady Rams.

Quapaw fell behind by a 13-6 margin at the end of the first quarter in the boy's game.

Riverton's lead increased to 28-13 entering halftime.

During the third quarter the Rams outscored the Wildcats by a 22-13 margin to build a 50-26 cushion at the start of the fourth quarter.

Brandon Rollet paced the Wildcats with 17 points.

Along with Wes Hefley's 19-point production, the Rams received 15 points from Jash Davis.
