QUAPAW - Commerce used an eight-run second inning to take charge in a 15-3 victory over Quapaw here Monday.

The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a triple by Jerrod Kirtley and a pair of bases-loaded walks.

Quapaw came back with a run in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by King.

Commerce sent 12 batters to the plate during its eight-run burst.

The Tigers had three hits in the inning, the key hit an RBI double by Garrett.

The Tigers came up with another four runs in the top of the fourth. Garrett and Ball each singled home a run.

Quapaw got single runs in the second and fifth innings.

Garrett had a double and single and Ball collected two singles for Commerce.

Kirtley tripled and Mathis and Sierra added singles.

Estep had a double and single for the Wildcats. Lasiter, King and Mate all added singles. The Wildcats collected three of their five hits during the first inning.

Commerce hosts Chelsea and Quapaw travels to Fairland on Thursday.
