Peoria Ridge Golf Course is gearing up for the 2012 season with a pair of events.

A Monday night men's league will begin play March 26.

It will feature a nine-hole format with various games, including a skins game, flag game, scrambles, best ball and individual stroke play.

Play will begin at 5:30 p.m. each Monday during Daylight Savings Time months unless there is inclement weather or a prior course obligation.

Every member of the league is responsible for calling the pro shop by 3:30 p.m. to declare their intention to play that evening. That will allow course officials to set pairings.

Cost will be $7 for members or $21 for non-members. The price includes green fee, cart and prize fund.

The first Senior Shootout will be held Tuesday, March 27 starting at 9 a.m.

It will be a two-person quota system based on handicaps. The handicap of each player on a team will be subtracted from 36 and that will be each teams' target score.

Winners will be determined by how each player finishes in relation to their target score.

Shootouts will be held the last Tuesday of each month and will run through October.

Plays is open to all experienced players over the age of 55. Players must provide a valid handicap from their home course. Cost for PRGC members is $10 per man or $32 per man for nonmembers.

For more information on both, call the Peoria Ridge pro shop at 918-542-7676.
