Youth Football sign-ups continue
Online registration for Miami Youth Football has begun.
The program is for players who will be in the first through sixth grades.
Cost is $85 per player and $60 for each additional sibling.
Raffle tickets will be available to help offset the cost of registration.
To register online, go to www.sportabase.com; under registration, go to football & cheerleading, then pull down to Miami. Fill out the remainder of the registration form.
Pay online or pay Patsy Seat at Security Bank, 22nd & Main in Miami.
Coaches, volunteers and team moms are needed.
Miami will compete in the Indian Nations Football Conference. There will be four or five home games and four or five road games during the season.
Car pooling will be available.

Softball tournament set at Riverton
RIVERTON, Kan. — The Riverton Summer Classic, an 18-and-under softball tournament, will be held Friday and Saturday at the Riverton High School Field.
The entry fee is $275, and includes all admissions.
Teams must be ASA registered. If not, they will have to pay an additional ASA fee.
Teams are guaranteed three games.

Pujols says no to Home Run Derby
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Albert Pujols says he’ll pass on the Home Run Derby in this year’s All-Star Game.
The three-time NL MVP said Monday he’s participated three times and felt he could say no this time around. Pujols’ comments were first reported by FoxSports Midwest.
Pujols had 32 homers and 87 RBIs heading into the 2009 All-Star Game in St. Louis. He had 15 homers and 48 RBIs the rest of the season.
Pujols is batting .306 with 16 homers and 51 RBIs this season entering Monday.
The All-Star Game is July 13 in Anaheim, Calif.
