MUSTANG — Jesse Drosche of Fairland was second during Saturday’s high jump competition at the Class 2A state track meet here.

Drosche cleared 6-4. Garrett Jenkins of Healdton was the winner, going 6-6.

T.J. Korb of Afton placed in three events while Ryan Nowlin of Quapaw picked up medals in two.

Korb was third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.87 seconds and wound up fourth in the 200 at 23.67.

He joined Ryan Markes, Brennan Fuser and Tye Turley in the 4x100 relay. They wound up sixth at 45.47 seconds.

Nowlin was fourth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and sixth in the 200-meter dash with times of 42.36 and 24.19 seconds, respectively.

Alex Lyons of Wyandotte and Afton’s Shawn Free each placed third, Lyons in the 400 and Free in the shot put.

Lyons had a time of 1:01.12 and Free turned in a throw of 45-6 3/4.

Lyons had the second-best time during Friday’s prelims, a 1:00.62.

Carolina Fonseca of Welch was third in the Class A girls’ 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:55.23

Magaly Prado of Commerce placed sixth in the 2A girls’ 300 hurdles with a time of 50.26.

She was eighth in the 100 hurdles at 17.59 seconds. Wyandotte’s Felicia Stone placed 11th at 18.09.

Turley was 10th and Nowlin 13th in the 100. Turley had a time of 12.07 seconds and Nowlin was clocked in 12.27.

The Wildcats’ Jordan Patterson was 10th and Nowlin 13th in the 100-meter hurdles preliminaries. Patterson had a time of 17.75 seconds and Nowlin came in at 18.28.

Patterson was 14th in the 300 hurdles prelims.

Zach Barnes of Commerce was seventh in the 200 at 24.29.

Fairland’s Spencer Anderson finished 16th in the 800 at 2:15.87 and 15th in the 3,200 at 12:47.17.

Markes wound up 16th in the 1,600 with a time of 5:13.24.

The CHS 4x100 relay team — Luke Manning, Tre Riggs, Travis Wade and Barnes — was 16th at 46.93 seconds.

Wyandotte’s 4x800 relay team — Johnny Merriman, Kodie Alday, Austin Jacobbarger and Tyler Buckallew — were 13th at 9:11.88.

Barnes was seventh and Merriman 14th in the long jump at 18-8 1/4 and 17-5, respectively.

Wyandotte was 11th in the 4x200 relay. Stone, Lyons, Jessica Staggs and Kayla Oleman had a time of 1:54.92.

Kristen Enyart, Jennifer McCloud, Stone and Lyons combined to finish 16th in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:40.31.

Oleman and Jessica Dry of Afton didn’t clear the minimum height in the high jump.

Also, Abigale Staggs of Wyandotte and Marie Duggan of Quapaw didn’t place in the long jump or discus, respectively.

Afton’s boys shared 10th place with Calera and Cashion. Each had 18 points.

Fairland and Hinton tied for 24th with eight points and Quapaw was 29th with five.

The Wyandotte girls shared 23rd place with Caddo, Mounds and Pocola. All had six points.

Commerce, Hollis, Savanna, Woodland, Wright City and Wynnewood all netted one point.

Welch shared 23rd in Class A with Hooker and Turpin. All three tallied six points.
