Five Oklahoma teams will be joined by teams from Missouri and Kansas for the Miami True Value Wood Bat Classic that begins Thursday at Joe Pollock Field.

Defending champion Miami will be joined by Poteau, Grove, Adair and Vinita.

Rounding out the tournament field will be Baxter Springs, Kan., and Ozark and Springfield, Mo.

The bulk of Baxter's team is expected to be made up of players from the Baxter High School team that is coming off a second straight Kansas state championship.

Four pool games are scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday with the championship game set for 2 p.m Sunday.

Pool games are at 1, 3:15, 5:30 and 7:45 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 11 a.m., 1:30, 4 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Miami defeated Salina 7-2 in last year's championship game.

Sunday - Championship game, Pool A winner vs. Pool B winner, 2 p.m.
