ROGERS, Ark. — For the third straight day, there’s a different leader at the NGA Hooters Professional Golf Tour’s Bentonville (Ark.) Open.
Chris Barron holds a two-stroke lead over Ben Briscoe heading into today’s final round at the Lost Springs Golf & Athletic Club.
Barron had a 3-under par 68 on Saturday, giving him a 54-hole total of 13-under 200.
That’s two strokes ahead of Ben Briscoe, who shot 70 on Saturday. The leader after the first round and the 2008 Bentonville Open winner, Briscoe goes into today’s play at 11-under 202.
Will Wilcox, who had tied the course record on Friday with a 61, had four bogeys and a double bogey Saturday on his way to a 75. He’s in a tie for 10th at 206.
Jonathan Hodge and Garrett Jones were tied for third at 203 and Tyler Leon and Shawn Stefani share fifth at 204.
Defending champion David Miller, Luke Bakke and Patrick Wilkes-Krier are tied for seventh at 205.
Jeff Corr, winner of the 2008 Buffalo Run Casino Classic, is in a nine-way tie for 41st at 210.
Ted Potter, the ‘09 BRCC champ, is in a tie for 66th at 214.
The total purse for the Bentonville Open is $200,000 with $30,000 going to the winner.
The tour heads to Oklahoma for the Buffalo Run Casino Classic, which begins Thursday at Peoria Ridge Golf Course.
