Keegan Tenney's 30-yard touchdown catch and run with 10.2 seconds remaining gave the Joplin (Mo.) JV a wild 18-13 victory over Miami Monday night at a chilly Robertson Field.

Tenney's touchdown came four plays after the Wardogs had grabbed a 13-12 lead when Casey Carson scrambled 5 yards for a touchdown with 50 seconds to play.

A run for the conversion was thwarted.

The scoring drive was set up by a Jimmy Sharp interception in the end zone with 2:45 to play.

Joplin jumped out to a 6-0 lead with a short touchdown run with 5:46 until intermission.

The Eagles fumbled twice in the first half. Trey Flick caused a first-quarter fumble what was recovered by Sharp.

Then with 12.3 seconds left in the half, Spencer York recovered a fumble at the Miami 25.

Miami scored its first touchdown with 5:38 left in the third quarter on a 20-yard pass from Casey Carson to Tyler Sourjohn. The PAT kick by Sourjohn gave the Wardogs a 7-6 edge.

Joplin regained the lead with 38 seconds left in the third period on a 12-yard run. The conversion was stopped.

The game closed out the season for the JV Wardogs.
