FAIRLAND — Ketchum’s Dakota Garrett poured in a game-high 27 points including 17 in the decisive fourth quarter leading the Lady Warriors to a 59-46 win over the Fairland Lady Owls Tuesday night.

Ketchum led 39-36 at the beginning of the final period when Garrett took over the game by scoring the next 15 points for the Lady Warriors. Garrett’s bucket with just under three minutes to play in the game gave the visitors a 54-42 lead.

Fairland fought back to cut the KHS lead to 54-46 following a free throw from Ashley Davis and a 3-point goal by Whitney Dushane with 1:31 to play.

But, that would be all the scoring for the Lady Owls the rest of the game as Ketchum closed out the game netting five-of-six from the free throw line.

Fairland led the Lady Warriors for most of the first half and gained its largest lead of the night after a Lori McCorkell bucket for a seven-point advantage with 4:45 to play in the second frame.

Ketchum bounced back the next three minutes and took its first lead of the game after back-to-back treys by Taylor Monroe and Brianna Johnson gave the Lady Warriors a 20-18 lead.

Fairland answered with a 3-point goal from Dushane allowing the Lady Owls to take a 21-20 lead into the halftime break.

Following Garrett in the Ketchum scorebook was Monroe’s 10 and Johnson’s eight point effort.

Fairland was paced by McCorkell and Suezann Pascoe who scored nine points each, while Dushane tallied eight and Paige Mowery and Emily Shelton added seven points each in the loss.
