Defending champ Grove heads up the field for Monday's Miami Invitational Golf Tournament at Peoria Ridge Golf Course.
The Ridgerunners posted a two stroke victory over Carl Junction, Mo., 321-323.
Carl Junction and a number of Missouri schools won't be playing here because of a scheduling conflict.
The tournament also will mark the first competition of the season for the Wardogs, who had a tournament at Neosho, Mo., last week postponed by the rainy weather.
Joining Grove and the Wardogs in the field are Jay, Claremore, Pryor, Vinita, Collinsville, Nowata, Ketchum, Coweta, Joplin, Mo., and three Kansas schools: Labette County, Pittsburg and St. Mary-Colgan of Pittsburg. Play gets under way at 8:30 a.m.
