OOLOGAH The Miami girls coasted to a 3-1 victory over Commerce in the seventh-place game in the Oologah Mustang Showcase here Friday morning.

Miami's boys suffered a 2-1 loss to Grove in the fifth-place game.

Becca Norton scored on a cross from Alyssa Blackfox in the 12th minute while Frances Reavis connected in the 19th.

Victoria Bellis got the Lady Wardogs' final goal on a putback from a Norton shot in the 49th minute.

Commerce scored with about eight minutes left.

In the boys' game, Kyle Addington got the Dogs' only goal with about 10 minutes left in the game.

A free kick by Kaleb Potter hit the crossbar and Addington punched in the rebound.

The teams had played to a scoreless draw in the first 30-minute half.

Miami's varsity is idle until March 30, when it hosts Claremore Sequoyah in the District 4A-8 opener.
