The Wyandotte High School basketball teams swept a pair of Lucky Seven Conference games from Bluejacket on Tuesday evening in Bluejacket.
The Wyandotte boys downed the Chieftains 56-44 to stay tied with Welch atop the conference standings.
The Bears led by 11, at 28-17, at the break before outscoring the Chieftains 28-9 in the third quarter to open up some breathing room.
Zach Butterfield led the Bears with 15 points. Dakota Sparks added 10 points and Michael Scribner had 8 points. Dalton Pogue chipped in 6 points and Jacob Lux, Derek Duburow, and Nathan Taylor all added 4 points apiece. D.J. Burleson also had 3 points and Haydn Neese scored 1.
Butterfield hit three 3-pointers and Sparks and Pogue both hit a pair of 3ís in the game for the Bears.
Sylar Humble led the Bluejacket offense with 18 points. Josh Williams and David Prine both added 7 points each and Josh Woodall scored 4. Walter Peerson chipped in 3 points and Noah Ayres had 2. Charlie Reeves also scored 1 point.
The Wyandotte girls downed the Lady Chieftains 70-36 in their matchup.
Kirsten Leppla led the Lady Bears offensively with 16 points. Felicia Stone added 12 points and Kristen Enyart had 8 points. Jennifer McLoud and Morgan Compton both scored 7 points apiece and Jess Staggs had 6. Kayla Oleman chipped in 4 points and Mykah Meador and Peytience Logan both added 2 points apiece.
Cheyanne Hall led the Bluejacket offense with 14 points. Lauren Ayres added 10 points and Sarah McHone scored 6. Sam Brigstock chipped in 5 points and Shyla McGlasson and Jimicia Wells both added 2 points apiece.
