LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — Heading into Saturday’s Division II pre-Region XIV Volleyball Seeding Tournament on the campus of Metropolitan Community College-Longview, the Northeastern A&M Lady Norse had won six straight games.

Coach Eric Iverson’s Lady Norse carried a 2-3 record into matches Saturday with East Central College (10-5) of Union, Mo., and St. Louis Community College (2-14). The host MCC-Longview Lady Lakers (5-7) and Cottey College (2-10) also played in the tournament to determine post-season seeding for the playoffs.

After sweeping three straight games on Sept. 14 against Cottey College in the NEO Student Activity Center, the Lady Norse won three consecutive games against the Labette College (Kan.) Lady Cardinals last Wednesday in Parsons, Kan.

NEO captured a 25-14 victory in the first game with Labette before earning a 25-20 win in the second game. The Lady Norse won the best-of-five match with a 25-23 victory in the third game.
