Nine members of the Northeastern A&M Lady Norse softball team were selected recently to the all-Region II team.

After finishing second in the Women's Division I Region II Tournament and ranked sixth in the nation with a 53-6 season record, four members of the Lady Norse earned first team honors.

Pitcher Kalleigh Chrz along with outfielders Kiara Bonner and Kyrie Panter and designated player Maddelyn Fraley represented NEO on the first team.

Chrz, a freshman right-hander from Welch, ranked 18th in the nation with a 23-2 overall record and a 0.90 earned run average in 169 innings. She led NEO with 120 strikeouts while issuing 75 walks.

Bonner, a freshman leadoff hitter from West Peach, Texas, led the Lady Norse with a .463 batting average in 201 at-bats. She set an NEO single season school record with 23 home runs. The previous mark of 15 set by Shareena Pulse in 2007.

She also set an NEO school record with 72 RBIs in a single season, breaking the previous record of 71 set by Shelbie Dalton in 1990. Bonner led NEO with nine triples, 29 stolen bases and a school record 79 runs scored.

Panter, a sophomore left-fielder from Miami, hit .377 in 199 at-bats for the Lady Norse with 18 doubles, five triples and five home runs. She scored 63 runs and collected 33 RBI.

Fraley, a freshman first baseman from Adair, hit .457 in 175 at-bats with 17 home runs and 63 RBI along with 42 runs scored.

Four Lady Norse received all-region second team recognition. Pitcher Taylor Rolland and catcher Cara Dearmore along with infielder Paige Johnson and utility player Kayla Odle represent NEO.

Rolland, a sophomore left-hander from Broken Arrow, finished with a 19-2 season record and a 1.50 ERA in 138.1 innings of work. She recorded 54 strikeouts and 29 walks.

Dearmore, a sophomore from Coweta, hit .314 in 140 at-bats with 37 RBI and 33 runs scored. She collected 12 doubles and nine home runs.

Johnson, a freshman from Wagoner, recorded a .342 batting average in 47 games with 45 runs scored and 35 RBI. She had 12 doubles and 10 homers while stealing 10 bases.

Odle, a sophomore from Kansas, Okla., hit .390 in 136 at-bats with five doubles and 12 home runs along with 47 RBI and 36 runs scored.

Veteran Lady Norse second baseman Alyssa Poole. of Sand Springs, earned all-region honorable mention. Poole hit .310 in 126 at-bats with three doubles and 14 runs scored and 34 RBI.
