QUAPAW - Allisun Thomasson capped off a productive junior year with a sixth-place finish at the Class 2A state golf tournament.
Thomasson, earning a berth in the state tournament for the third straight year, had been the top individual in the regional qualifier at Pawnee.
She was the second best individual in regional play at Glenpool the following week.
Then at the state tourney at Surrey Hills Golf Club at Yukon, she shared sixth place with Stephanie Martin of Pioneer-Pleasant Vale.
Thomasson had rounds of 91 and 83 for a 174 total.
This marked the third straight year Thomasson has finished in the top 10 at state.
She competed in four tournaments this spring.
Thomasson's best effort was at Dewey, where she finished second.
She also was fourth at the Claremore Invitational, fifth at the Coweta Invitational and eighth at the Muskogee Invitational.
Thomasson also plays softball at Quapaw, which she likes because of the team concept.
Her coach in both sports is Aaron Thomasson.
She is the daughter of Troy and Rebecca Thomasson.
