AFTON - Scoring runs in clusters, Commerce rolled to a 14-3 victory over Afton in a Lucky 7 Conference fast-pitch softball game here Monday.

Each team scored three times in the first inning, but the Lady Tigers took the lead for good in the second with a five-run rally.

CHS got three runs in the fourth and added a final three in the fifth.

Breanna Blankenship headed up a 14-hit Commerce attack, going 4-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and she scored four times.

Katie Long had a bases-loaded double in the second and a single while winning pitcher Aly Morton had two singles and three RBIs. Thaylia Degner added two singles and she scored once.

Delaney Ballard, Kara Myers, Brittny Bachman and Lainie Burkybile each had a single for Commerce.

Stella Suits, Jordyn Blanton and Rian Winfrey had a single each for the Lady Eagles.

Commerce beat Westville 7-3 and Jay 8-3 Friday in the Jay Festival.

Saturday's action at Kellyville was rained out.

Ballard had a pair of singles and two RBIs and Myers added a double and single in the win over Westville.

Degner had a two-run triple in the fourth and a single.

Long and Morton added a single each.

Blankenship doubled while Ballard, Degner, Morton, Myers and Cortney Craig added singles in the win over Jay.

Commerce hosts Adair and Sarcoxie, Mo., in a festival on Thursday.

The Lady Tigers face Sarcoxie at 4 p.m., Adair meets Sarcoxie at 5:30 and CHS and Adair battle at 7 p.m.
