BMX races scheduled tonight

The summer race series at the Miami BMX track has been moved to Wednesdays.

“We ended up moving our race nights from Thursday to Wednesday nights so that our schedule wouldn’t conflict with our BMX neighbors in Springfield, Mo.,” said Cindy Riley, secretary-treasurer of Miami BMX Inc.

“They have been very supportive in coming to our track and we would like to continue that and allow our riders to be able to try their track out also,” Riley said.

Registration is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with racing starting shortly afterward.

The registration fee is $7 and ribbons will be awarded.

Miami BMX’s regular Saturday races feature registration from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with competition starting at about 11 a.m.

Registration for those races is $10 and trophies are awarded.
