SARCOXIE, Mo. — Commerce jumped out to an early lead then coasted to a 65-35 victory over Joplin (Mo.) College Heights Christian Friday night in the Sarcoxie Tournament.

The Tigers, 2-0 in the tournament, attempted to wrap up the championship Saturday night when it faced Exeter, Mo.

The Commerce girls battled Exeter Saturday night with first place up for grabs.

CHS was up 17-6 after the first quarter.

The Tigers broke the game open with a 23-11 advantage in the second period, then outscored College Heights 23-14 in the third.

CHC held a 4-2 edge over the final eight minutes.

Kasey Ng had 18 points and Blake Witten scored 12 for the Tigers.

College Heights picked up nine points from Bro Muthia and eight from Evan Belk.
