Tonight's Wyandotte-Quapaw high school basketball games have been postponed, according to Lady Wildcat coach Rod Graves.

“We're struggling here to do the basic things,” Graves said. “We're having problems with the kids having power, heat and the basics. We thought that playing basketball was not the wise thing to do.”

Quapaw also has postponed its games on Saturday with Welch. Both dates will be rescheduled, Graves said.

The Miami IBC Bank Mudville Duals were cancelled Wednesday since the Civic Center is the base of emergency operations.

Wyandotte played its games at Colcord Thursday night.

What will happen with the remainder of the weekend schedule is anybody's guess.

There's a 100 percent chance of rain and snow on Friday with accumulations of less than an inch accumulation. There's a 70 percent chance of snow on Saturday

The schedule tonight has Miami at Webb City, Mo., as part of the Freeman Classic, Grove at Locust Grove, Afton at Commerce, Quapaw at Wyandotte and Fairland at Welch.

Then on Saturday, Miami is at Joplin, Mo., in the second round of the Freeman Classic, and Commerce travels to South Coffeyville.
