TULSA – Nathan Riley was eighth and Miami finished 12th as a team during a high school cross country meet hosted by Tulsa Washington.

The Wardogs finished with 301 points, which was eighth among the Class 5A teams entered.

“With some improvement over the next three weeks, our goal is to qualify our team to the state meet,” Miami coach Bruce Rhodes said. 

Riley posted a time of 18:21 over the 5K (3.1 mile) course.

Dylan McCoy was 60th at 20:42 and Zane Laxton wound up 69th at 20.54. Diarmid McMillan was 81st at 21:20 and Shawn Boyd was 83rd at 21:28.
