WILBURTON ó Topping the 80-point plateau in both games, Northeastern A&Mís basketball teams swept a crucial Bi-State Athletic Conference Eastern Division double-header Monday night against Eastern State College in the C.C. Dunlap Fieldhouse.

Coach Jim Rowlandís Lady Norse cruised to an 81-61 victory over the Lady Mountaineers in the first game. With the victory, the Lady Norse are 2-1 in the Bi-State East and 18-5 overall.

The loss dropped coach Andy Maceís Lady Mountaineers to 0-2 in the division and 9-13 on the year.

Posting an almost identical score in the menís game, coach Dustin Groverís Golden Norsemen earned an 81-66 win over the Mountaineers.

With the victory the Golden Norse are 2-1 in the Bi-State East and 15-9 on the season. Coach Brenton Duncanís Mountaineers slide to 0-2 in the division and 3-15 overall.

Both NEO teams return home Thursday for a classic battle with arch-rival Connors State College.

Coach Eddie Kiteís ninth-ranked Cowgirls start the 6 p.m. game with a 22-1 season record and a 2-0 divisional mark.

Longtime head coach Bill Museís Cowboys carry a 17-6 overall record and a 2-0 Bi-State East mark into the 8 p.m. clash with the Norsemen.
