Ozark, Mo., captured the title of the Miami True Value Wood Bat Tournament thanks to an 11-4 victory over Miami Saturday night at Joe Pollock Field.

But the outcome wasn’t determined until Sunday afternoon, when Missouri Baseball Club suffered a 3-0 loss to Vinita.

Had MBC defeated Vinita, it would have been crowned the champ on run differential.

Host Miami had to settle for third place, going 2-1 in pool play.

“We didn’t play as well as we had been,” Miami coach Kerry Hallman said. “They hit the ball pretty well, plus we were running low on pitching.”

Post 147 managed only four hits in the game.

Christian Bridendolph had a pair of singles while Chris Perry and Matt Walker chipped in with a single each.

A.J. Gambill suffered the loss.

Miami travels to Vinita Tuesday night.
