KELLYVILLE - Sarah Rhodes qualified for the Class 4A state cross country meet during regional competition here Thursday.

Rhodes was 23rd overall and fourth among individual qualifiers with a time of 14:00. It's believed that she is MHS' first qualifier for the girls' state meet, which will be next Saturday at Edmond.

Roman Bass just missed qualifying for the boys' state meet. He was 46th overall and ninth individually with a time of 20.16. The top seven individuals not on one of the top seven teams qualify.

Ivan Wang was 77th overall with a time of 20.22 and Trey Roberts was 100th overall at 24:09.

“They all ran well, Miami coach Bruce Rhodes said. “The course was in as good of shape as it could have been for as much rain as they had. There were some puddles, but overall it was dry.

There were 96 girls and 105 boys entered in the regional meet.
