WYANDOTTE — Wyandotte marked homecoming with a pair of wins over Bluejacket here Friday.

The Lady Bears rolled to an 87-31 decision while the WHS  boys coasted to a 91-34 victory.

“We got to play a lot of girls,” coach Kara Kinney said. “It wasn’t much of a game, but at least we got out there.”

The Lady Bears jumped out to a 21-6 lead in the first quarter then padded that to 48-12 by intermission.

Bluejacket held a 16-9 edge in the third quarter, but WHS erupted for 30 points in the final eight minutes.

Jesse Stone had a season-best 26 points for the Lady Bears. Kayla Oleman added 14 and Kirsten Leppla chipped in with 13.

Cheyenne Hall scored 23 for Bluejacket.

In the boys’ game, all 14 players who suited up got into the scoring column.

Jeff Martin nailed four 3-point goals on his way to a game-high 19 points.

He was joined in double figures by Derek Durborow with 13 and Tyler Buckallew with 10.

Buckallew and Kyle Foster each nailed a pair of treys while Durborow, Shane Friend and exchange student Jon Bremdal had one each.

The Bears broke out to a 22-6 lead in the first quarter then stretched that to 43-16 at the  break.

Wyandotte (13-7) erupted for 30 points in thd third period. Durborow got nine of his points then and the Bears drained four 3-point goals, two coming from Martin.

The Bears added 18 points in the final stanza.

Josh Williams scored 13 points for Bluejacket.

Wyandotte’s games with Afton on Tuesday have been cancelled. The Bears’ next action will be Feb. 13 at Fairland.

The games wrapped up the regular season for Bluejacket, which travels to White Oak for Class B district play.

The Lady Chieftains (0-15) face Bartlesville Wesleyan at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Area III District 2 play.

Bluejacket’s boys (1-15) are paired with the White Oak boys at 8 p.m. on Friday.
