Can Grove reach the Class 4A state championship game again?

Can Commerce shake the jinx that has seen the Tigers reach the third round of the Class A playoffs six straight years only to be eliminated?

We'll see starting Friday night as post-season play begins.

Grove and Commerce will be joined by Miami, Wyandotte, Afton, Fairland and Welch in the field.

The Ridgerunners (9-1), who lost to Oklahoma City McGuinness in the finals at Broken Arrow and were runners-up in District 4A-3, host Hilldale (7-3).

Commerce (7-2), working on a seven-game winning streak, entertains Warner (5-5), the fourth-place team in District A-8.

Miami (5-5) travels to 4A No. 3 Broken Bow (9-1).

Fairland (5-5), in the playoffs for the second straight year, travel to Pocola (9-1).

Afton (7-3) travel to No. 10 Panama.

Welch (7-3) hopes to slow down unbeaten Dewar (10-0).
