The Magic continues to set the pace in the fifth- and sixth-grade division of the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa County youth basketball league following a pair of wins Saturday.

They beat the Heat 49-21 and nipped the Cavaliers 31-29 to improve to 5-1.

The Celtics won both of their games Saturday, beating the Heat 27-16 and the Rockets 31-18.

In the dayís other game, it was Cavaliers 20, Rockets 16.

Saturdayís schedule includes Heat vs. Rockets, 10 a.m.; Celtics vs. Cavaliers, 11 a.m.; Rockets vs. Magic, noon; Cavaliers vs. Heat, 1 p.m., and Magic vs. Celtics, 2 p.m.

Magic 48, Heat 21

The Magic jumped out to a 21-11 lead at the half and coasted.

Hunter Forkum scored 17 and Ben Pulley added 13 for the Magic.

Caleb Bundrick had six points, followed by Mason Hurley with four and Grant Hubbard, Tyler Radebaugh and Jimmy Durham with two each.

Gunner Morganís 11 points headed up the scoring for the Heat. Dakota Foster and Eli Coyne had four points each while Kieren Coyne had two.

Celtics 27, Heat 16

Sam Holmes headed up a balanced Celtic attack with seven points.

Andrew Reavis had six points, followed by Daniel Allen, Danny Burgess and Dax Pippins with four each, and Crue Woolman with two.

Kieren Coyne, Eli Coyne, Morgan and Wolfgang Flick had four points each for the Heat.

Celtics 31, Rockets 18

Everybody that played for the Celtics scored points as the posted back-to-back wins.

Reavis led the way with seven points, followed by Jack Osborn with five, Hughes, Pippins and Brendan Ragsdale with four each, Allen with three and Burgess with two points.

The Rockets got four points each from Scott Garrett, Kameron Jinks and Gunner Price. T.J. Stokes, Luke Freeman. Bryson had two points.

Cavaliers 20, Rockets 16

The Cavaliers built an 11-6 lead at the half then held off the Rockets.

Jerry Reedís 14 points led the way for the Cavs. Christian Folks, Chris Wisewell and Isaac Keller chipped in with two points each.

Garrett and Price had six points apiece to lead the Rockets. Jinks and Freeman each scored two points.

Magic 31, Cavaliers 29

Pulley and Forkum accounted for 18 points as the Cavs lost for just the second time this season.

Pulley finished with 10 points and Forkum added eight for the Magic. Others with points were Hubbard with five, Radebaugh with four and Bundrick and Durham with two apiece.

Folks pumped in 18 points for the Cavaliers. Reed scored four and David Young and Jeren Joslin added two each.
