Northeastern A&M Lady Norse sophomore first baseman Maddelyn Fraley was recently selected to the third team of the National Junior College Athletic Association Women's Division I All-American softball team.
Fraley, a left-hander from Adair, was a first team all-Region II selection two consecutive seasons as a designated player.
As a sophomore, Fraley tied for third in the nation with a team-leading 27 doubles while hitting .373 in 177 at-bats. Fraley led NEO with 53 runs batted in while scoring 33 runs and hitting six home runs.
During her two-year career, Fraley set NEO school records for most doubles in a season (27) and most doubles in a career (51).
She also tied the school standard with 23 career home runs which was set in 2009 by Kiarra Bonner.
Fraley also ranks second in NEO history with 116 runs batted in during her career.
The Lady Norse finished ranked 19th in the nation and second in Region II with a 43-14 overall record.
