WELCH — A pair of 20-point periods helped the Welch boys coast to a 54-39 victory over Fairland in a Lucky 7 Conference basketball game here Tuesday night.

Welch coasted into the half with a 27-18 advantage, then pulled away again in the third period thanks to a 20-8 spree.
